BINGHAMTON, NY -- Binghamton University will host a two-hour financial aid workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, in Lecture Hall 2 on campus. The workshop is free and open to the public. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with financial aid experts after the workshop.

The workshop is being held in support of SUNY Statewide Financial Aid Days. Binghamton University will join over 35 campuses across New York State in participating in the event.

Financial aid experts from Binghamton University will provide financial aid information to college-bound students and their families as they plan for a very important, future investment.

“Many college-bound students and their families have lots of questions about financial aid," said Patricia Donahue, associate director, Financial Aid & Student Records at Binghamton University. "This is a great opportunity for all to learn more about the financial aid application process, funding options available, and learn how to compare financial aid offers and determine “bottom line” costs for the next four years. This is a perfect time of the year to begin family discussions about actual costs and how to pay for college.”

High school seniors and juniors, as well as transfer students, are invited to attend. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not mandatory at https://www.suny.edu/student/event_listing/index.cfm?etypid=1 or via phone at 1-800-342-3811.
