BINGHAMTON, NY – The sixth annual Binghamton University I’m a Complex Kid! (ICK!) Bioengineering Fair will be held Saturday, Apr. 14, at Binghamton University’s Innovative Technologies Complex, located at 85 Murray Hill Road in Vestal. The fair is open to students, grades 1-5, with two sessions being offered. The first session will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second session from 2 to 6 p.m.

Students will be introduced to bioengineering concepts such as modeling life, networking and biologically inspired design. The event features several bioengineering-based activities including kitchen cell model creation, strawberry DNA extraction, wind-powered cars, patterns in nature, bio inspired design and slime formation.

The cost for the event is $20 per student and includes all supplies and refreshments. Students can sign up through Apr. 1 at www.bingbe.blogspot.com or for more information, e-mail binghamtonbioengineers@gmail.com.
