BINGHAMTON, NY – The SUNY Business and Education Cooperative of the Southern Tier (SUNY BEST) will host a presentation, titled “Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council Strategic Plan Implementation Follow Up, CFA’s, and Round Two,” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jun. 7 in room LN 1324C of the Continuing Education and Outreach Department on the Binghamton University campus. This presentation is free and open to the public.

Kevin McLaughlin, regional director of the Empire State Development (ESD) Southern Tier, will present an update and overview of the economic development initiatives and activities related to the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council’s 2012 Strategic Plan. He will also discuss new information regarding the second round of the NYS Regional Economic Development Councils’ planning process, and present a call for more projects that might be considered for the region’s Consolidated Funding Application (CFA). A question and answer session will follow.

SUNY BEST is a volunteer group comprised of senior staff members from key economic and educational institutions in the Southern Tier. The group works to forge strong alliances, strengthen industry specific needs and provide information and outreach for business.
