BINGHAMTON, NY – David Sloan Wilson, distinguished professor of biology and anthropology at Binghamton University, will host a discussion on “Using Evolution to Improve the Quality of Everyday Life,” at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, in room G-008 of the Academic A building on campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Wilson will discuss how evolution is not only a theory that explains the diversity of life, but can also be used to improve the quality of everyday life. He will explain how Darwin’s theory provides a powerful public toolkit and provides examples ranging from empowering neighborhoods, to teaching at-risk students, to rethinking economics.
