BINGHAMTON, NY-- Students, faculty and staff at Binghamton University will celebrate Earth Day 2013 with a zero waste festival from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday, April 22, in Parking Lot F3, adjacent to the Event Center. Activities, which include food, music and environmental activities, are free and open to the public.

During the celebration, attendees will have a chance to take part in hands-on activities at student group tables and demonstrations.

Throughout the day, a host of activities will be offered, including recycling races, seed planting activities, a small-scale alpaca farm, and exhibits from the Binghamton Zoo.

Events are sponsored by Binghamton University’s Office of Recycling and Resource Management and Sodexo Campus Services. Electricity needs will be met by musician, Crow Weaver, and his solar-powered stage. For more information, contact Martin Larocca at (607) 777-3411 or mlarocca@binghamton.edu.
