BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University’s Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering (SSIE) will host the second annual Pursuit of Operational Excellence (OPEX) conference from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, in the Mandela Room of the University Union, on campus.
Industry professionals, University professors and SSIE alumni will share their insights about the capabilities of industrial and systems engineering practices offered by the SSIE department and students. This event is being held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science and Binghamton University’s Homecoming Weekend.
Scheduled presentations and discussions will be held in the areas of healthcare systems, energy and industrial solutions, and topics will touch upon innovation, optimization and data analytics. Participants will learn how industrial engineers can help simplify complex systems and contribute to the success of an organization.
