TED, which stands for technology, entertainment and design, is a nonprofit organization devoted to the notion of ‘ideas worth spreading.’ Started as a conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. TED went on to create TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The TED Conference provides general guidance for TEDx programs, but individual TEDx events, including TEDxBinghamton University, are self-organized.
Tickets are $5 per person, available online at http://j.mp/1kPN21x or during tabling from noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, March 25, 27 and 28, in the Tillman Lobby of the University Union at Binghamton University.
