BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University will host a dedication ceremony for the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 18, at the University Union Atrium, right outside the entrance to the center. The event is to recognize Steven Fleishman ’91 and Judith Garczynski Fleishman ’90, and their generosity and leadership in support of the center. A reception will follow.

Thanks to the Fleishmans’ generous philanthropic gift, the center will be able to better help launch the careers of Binghamton University students for generations to come. The Center, in its new space, now reaches students on a larger scale and utilizes state-of-the-art technology to more efficiently deliver programs and services.

Speakers at the event include President Harvey Stenger, Vice President for Student Affairs Brian Rose, Director of University Career Services Kelli Smith, student Mohammad Bishawi ’15, and Steven and Judy Fleishman.

The ceremony is part of the Binghamton University Alumni Association’s Homecoming Weekend, which begins on Friday, Oct. 17, and concludes on Sunday, Oct. 19. Alumni, faculty, staff, students and the local community are invited to attend the dedication ceremony.

Binghamton University’s Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development helps students understand themselves in relation to the world of work, and develop the skills and competencies needed for career success in a global economy. A range of services, programs, events and resources are offered to facilitate learning and practice, as well as transitions and connections to professional employment and advanced study.
