BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University’s Eating Awareness Committee will host "Fit, Fueled and Focused," an event to highlight the prevention resources on campus for harmful lifestyle behaviors like eating disorders and college malnutrition, from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10. The event which is free and open to the public will be held in the Tillman Lobby and Old Union Hall of the University Union, on campus.
The Eating Awareness Committee is hosting "Fit, Fueled and Focused" to educate students on resources that are on campus to help them improve life balance and wellness. The event will emphasize healthy lifestyle choices, practical tips and programs individuals can do every day to create health harmony and to prevent destructive behaviors such as eating disorders and negative body image.
"Fit, Fueled and Focused" will have a variety of health and wellness sessions including: fitness, nutrition and stress management/self-care. The sessions are a sampling of the Eating Awareness Committee’s services to help the campus community achieve wellness.
The following is a schedule of events:
5-8 p.m. - Tabling in the Tillman Lobby
5:15-6 p.m. - Fit: Exercise Sampler
6:15-7 p.m. - Fueled: Mindful Eating
7:15-8 p.m. - Focused: Self Care Stress Reduction
The mission of Binghamton’s Eating Awareness Committee is to provide education, outreach and resources to the campus and local community related to body image, eating disorders, nutrition and fitness.
