BINGHAMTON, NY - The SUNY Business and Education Cooperative of the Southern Tier (SUNY BEST) will host "Recruiting Talented Students to Profit Your Organization!" at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2, in Room 220 at the Binghamton University Downtown Center, 67 Washington St., Binghamton. This presentation is free and open to the public.
Attendees will learn how to tap into the talent pool of smart and motivated students who attend Binghamton University and SUNY Broome Community College. Participants will learn about campus resources and contacts that are eager to help companies recruit students for paid or unpaid internships and full-time jobs.
Featured speakers include William McCarthy, Binghamton Plus talent acquisition associate at the Binghamton University Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development, and Larry Truillo, director of placement services and adjunct instructor at SUNY Broome. McCarthy brings 25 years of helping employers hire college students for jobs and internships to gain organizational success. Truillo has over 35 years in job placement services at SUNY Broome and has been charged with increasing the number of internship opportunities for all academic majors.

SUNY BEST, a community development and outreach enterprise of Binghamton University’s Center for Innovative and Continuing Education, represents a volunteer group comprised of senior staff members from key economic and educational institutions in the Southern Tier. The group works to forge strong alliances, strengthen industry specific needs, and provide information and outreach for business.
