BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University will host "Party with a Purpose" from 6-9 p.m., Friday, March 27, at Grande’s Bella Cucina, 1171 Vestal Ave., Binghamton.
"Party with a Purpose" is a 100 percent student-run event established to raise awareness of the importance of civic engagement and to encourage professional and aspiring local community leaders to be more active in their surrounding communities. An informative networking experience designed for professionals and aspiring community leaders alike, "Party with a Purpose" serves as a means to give back to the greater Binghamton area.
Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be provided, along with music by DJ Toby. A raffle drawing for prizes will be held at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person and will be available for sale from 1-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, March 16-26, in the lobby of the University Downtown Center or via e-mail. The concept was created by a small group of College of Community and Public Affairs graduate students, and all funds raised from the event go to Binghamton University’s Philanthropy Incubator for donation to local nonprofit organizations.
