BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton Center for Writers, Creative Writing Program at Binghamton University and the Binghamton Poetry Project are sponsoring a reading event and anthology release at 6 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the Broome County Arts Council, 5th Floor, 81 State St., Binghamton.

The event, free and open to the public, will include five separate workshops representing adults, kids, teens, veterans and seniors, who will read selections from the anthology. Refreshments will be served.

The Binghamton Poetry Project is a literary outreach program that aims to educate young people and adults on how to write and read more creatively. Its mission is to enhance art awareness and literacy in Broome County, and to make connections between the University and the Greater Binghamton community, through poetry.
