BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton University Ice Hockey Club will face off against SUNY Broome once again in the 2015-2016 Presidents Cup ice hockey game, taking place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the SUNY Broome Ice Center. The presidents are covering the tab for this year’s game, so admission is free.

The Presidents Cup pits ice hockey clubs from both schools against one another. Binghamton University and SUNY Broome have been ice hockey rivals since 1975.

"The first Presidents Cup was a thrilling event for players and fans alike, and we’re excited to bring it back for another year," said Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger. "Binghamton University and SUNY Broome are long-time rivals, so expect an intense game."

"We are proud to work together in many ways with our big sister, Binghamton University, on the ice and in the classroom. This friendly rivalry on ice reminds us that many of our Hornets eventually become Bearcats when transferring to Binghamton," said SUNY Broome President Kevin Drumm. "This year we've even further partnered to make the Presidents Cup Hockey Match free for all -- students and community members alike. We invite everyone to join us for what's sure to be a great night on the ice and in the stands!"

The winner of the game will take home the Presidents Cup trophy, which was taken home by Binghamton University back in February.

The first 100 people through the door will receive a free Presidents Cup T-shirt. Shuttle buses, sponsored by Campus Activities, leave from the Binghamton University Union at 6:15 p.m. and return after the game.  The first 50 students will get to ride the new Bearcats Bus.
