BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton University Veteran Student Organization (VSO) and the Veteran Services Office will host the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Wellness Event at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall, on campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Guest speakers include Peggy Phillips, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army Nurse Corps; and New York State Senator Fred Akshar.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3 p.m., when the Veteran Student Organization Color Guard will present the colors. Baritone Erik Tofte will then perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" accompanied by Michael McAndrew on the piano. Phillips will speak at 3:15 p.m., followed by an intercession at 3:50 p.m. with tabling for Veteran Services and refreshments. The ceremony continues at 4:10 p.m. with a keynote speech from Akshar.
