Academic and Professional Requirements
To be eligible for the RN-BS program, you must have the following:
- Associate degree in nursing OR a diploma in nursing
- Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- A current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where you plan to complete the program’s clinical requirements (individuals licensed in California or planning to complete clinical course requirements in California are not eligible for this program)
- Completed required prerequisite coursework (each course must be taken for a minimum of 3 semester credits; minimum grade of
C-)
- Anatomy & Physiology I
- Anatomy & Physiology II
- Microbiology
- Intro to Psychology
- English Composition
- Two additional liberal arts and sciences courses (one course in developmental psychology is preferred; examples of other courses that may be taken include anthropology, economics, English, history, humanities, mathematics, sociology and philosophy)

Here are the items you’ll need to gather to apply to the RN-BS program:
- Online application
- Official transcripts from every college or educational institution you've attended since high school (including test scores for AP, IB, CLEP and Excelsior exams)
- Initial RN licensure information
- A .pdf of your NURSYS license verification (review directions for uploading your NURSYS license)
