Meetings
CAB goals align with the mission, vision and values of the MPH program and include:
- preparing an inclusive and competent public health workforce that is responsive to diverse, emergent population health needs;
- advancing innovations in public health education, research and practice; and
- fostering a culture of accountability and continuous quality improvement through constructive review and practical advisement on program performance.
The CAB meets quarterly for approximately one hour. Meetings are held remotely via virtual conferencing and in person at times mutually determined by the CAB and the Public Health Division administration.
In addition to quarterly meetings, members may meet in smaller workgroups more frequently throughout the academic year. These workgroups are ad hoc and held at the discretion of the CAB and the administration of the Division of Public Health.
Membership
The CAB is composed of public health professionals, healthcare experts, organizational leaders and community stakeholders. Members are appointed for three years, with re-appointment for an additional three-year term. The CAB votes on new members during the final meeting of the spring semester, which is typically held in early June. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
