Binghamton University's Master of Public Health program values mutually beneficial partnerships that serve our community.
We appreciate existing relationships with organizations in the Southern Tier and look to expand partnerships whether local, regional or global.
Our mission is to improve the health of populations with an emphasis on advancing the health and wellness of rural and vulnerable populations.
Working Together to Promote/Protect Health
We collaborate with a broad range of community partners in multiple ways, including student fieldwork and community-based research. We continue to develop new offerings for professional development, collaborations for interprofessional education and opportunities for service learning. Through community-university partnerships, we seek to promote and protect communities' health and well-being and reduce health disparities.
Benefits of Community-University Partnerships
Public health issues tend to be complex and multidimensional. Many organizations face challenges in serving the needs of communities with limited resources. By combining our faculty's knowledge and expertise with our students' enthusiasm and ingenuity, we can help meet these community challenges.
Potential benefits of collaboration include:
- Assistance from dedicated, graduate-level public health students to assist with specific tasks
- Fresh perspectives, insights and ideas on a variety of projects and a wide range of topics
- Contributions to professional development and expansion of the public health workforce
We look forward to working closely with you to improve the health and well-being of our communities.
