Background
Marsha Dean is a licensed speech-language pathologist and a clinical instructor in the Division of Speech and Language Pathology at Binghamton University’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She joined Decker College in September 2023.
Along with her NYS license, she holds a professional teaching certificate as a teacher of students with speech and language disabilities (TSSLD) through the New York State Department of Education and a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Dean's clinical background consists of evaluations and treatment of children in early intervention and preschool settings in Broome, Tioga, Chemung and Chenango counties, as well as school-age children in local school districts (kindergarten-12th grade). She has experience with articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, receptive and expressive language disorders, autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
