Binghamton University's Division of Speech and Language Pathology offers an Augmentative and Alternative Communication course, Talk With Me!, as part of the University's Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic.
Course information and cost
Talk With Me! is a communication group course for adults (ages 21 and over) who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). This program empowers caregivers to facilitate AAC skills across all environments. These skills are taught through high-interest activities and collaboration to develop effective communication and improved independence in social contexts, within the community, in the workforce and at home.
- Courses meet once a week for 90 minutes; course sessions run for 12 weeks in the fall
- Cost is $10 per week
- Course registration and fee cover 1 AAC user and 1 caregiver

Kara Nunn MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is a clinical instructor in the Division of Speech and Language Pathology at Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, where she teaches and supervises graduate and undergraduate SLP students. She is a board-certified specialist in child language and language disorders and has served on multiple New York state and local committees to support professionals and students. Nunn’s clinical experience encompasses early intervention, preschool and public school populations and post-21 transitioning. |

Talk With Me! is held in person at Binghamton University's Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic in the University's JC Center, 10 University Blvd. (formerly Gannett Dr.) in Johnson City, N.Y.
