Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Welcome Back
August is an exciting time here at Binghamton as we onboard new faculty and staff, move-in new and returning students, and begin fall classes. We also kick-off the fall with Intercultural welcome events and B-Welcome Week.
BE YOU at Binghamton University
Through education and collaboration, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) aims to foster a broad and inclusive campus culture. We understand that our resilience and strength come from the diversity of ideas, backgrounds and perspectives of the entire community. So, no matter where you're from (or where you're going!), you belong at Binghamton University.
Road Map to Premier
Fostering a diverse and inclusive campus culture.
Becoming a premier public university requires commitment and contribution from all
members of the University community, in an environment that mirrors the diverse workplace
of the 21st century and welcomes the insights of individuals from many cultural traditions.
Consequently, our campus community must make diversity and inclusiveness a priority.
As our enrollment grows, so must our efforts to ensure that every member of our campus
is valued as an integral and fundamental part of the fabric of Binghamton University.
Message from the Vice President
Dear Campus Community,
Being dedicated to enriching the lives of people through Binghamton University’s core values of unity, identity and excellence, we recognize the strength and richness of the diversity among our campus community. The commitment to creating an inclusive campus where everyone feels a sense of belonging and each person’s contributions is valued, is one that is continuous and must be reaffirmed daily.
