Public Access Life Safety Equipment

Across Binghamton University properties are Life Safety Cabinets, each containing equipment meant to aid the public during medical emergencies. Every cabinet is stocked with supplies to aid in specific events: for cardiac emergencies, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs); for mass bleeding/hemhorrage control, Stop-the-Bleed kits; and for opioid overdose, Naloxone (brand name Narcan).

Anyone can use the supplies within each cabinet, no professional training necessary. Remember to call 911 or (607) 777-2222 if you are ever in an emergency that warrants the use of this equipment.
