All new international undergraduate students are required to have their English language skills assessed, regardless of where they have studied previously. This allows the University to have a better understanding of what new international students may need in additional English language support to be successful at Binghamton University.
The English Language Skills Assessment for Spring 2025 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15 from 10AM - 12PM in Lecture Hall, Room 008 (LH 008). All new international undergraduate students should arrive on Tuesday, January 14. If you are unable to take the exam on January 15, please contact eli@binghamton.edu for make-up instructions. Students who take the make-up exam may face delays in registering for classes.
English Language Institute courses count toward graduation and provide General Education credit.
If you have any questions regarding the English Language Skills Assessment, please email eli@binghamton.edu.
