The Linguistics Program offers six merit-based scholarships in the amount of $500 per academic year to qualifying Linguistics majors participating in an approved education abroad program with a focus on second language study. Two scholarships are awarded every semester, including summer session.
Eligibility requirements: a declared major in Linguistics; an overall GPA of at least 3.0; GPA in Linguistics at least 3.25.
Aside from the aforementioned eligibility requirements, please note that students who are fully funded from another source/scholarship are not eligible to receive this award.
Non-SUNY programs must be approved by the scholarship committee.
For students studying abroad in Spring 2020, the deadline to submit your application is Sunday, December 1, 2019. Students will be informed of decision during the second week of December. For students studying abroad during Summer or Fall 2020, please check back later in the semester for application deadlines.
