NEWS FROM FELLOWS
The Link Foundation Trustees, Special Advisors and others associated with the Foundation's Fellowship Programs are very pleased to initiate the publication of an annual newsletter. We anticipate that the newsletter will announce and present condensed research abstracts for each year's fellowship award recipients. In addition, the newsletter will include news from former fellows as well as features describing activities of interest to the Foundation and its programs. By establishing the newsletter, we seek to provide increased exposure for the Foundation's programs, our Fellows (both past and present) and their activities. It is also anticipated that the newsletter, and abstracts of prior Fellowship winners in particular, will be useful for Fellowship applicants by providing tangible examples of work that the Foundation has supported.

In this edition, Link Board of Trustees Chairman David Gouldin presents highlights and perspectives pertaining to the Link Foundation's 50th anniversary celebration, held in Binghamton, NY in June, 2003. While preparing for the 50th anniversary celebration, we have substantially expanded and updated our mailing list, including locating many past fellowship recipients that we had lost touch with. As a result, we are now able to send this newsletter to a much broader circle than would have been possible only a year ago. One of our greatest hopes for the newsletter is that it will provide a means for Fellows to keep in touch with the Foundation, to network with each other, and to follow the achievements of the outstanding group of individuals who have received Link fellowships over the years. For this to happen, we will need to hear from former Fellows, as detailed in the section News From Former Fellows. Please write to us!
