![]() Jian Cui Mr. Jian Cui is a Phd. Student at the School of Computing, George Mason University. He obtained His B.S and M.S. in Computer Science from Wuhan University, China. He is doing his research under the direction of Dr. Jim Chen who is an associate professor of the School of Computing at GMU. He has one US patent pending for image-based clipping. His research interests include Computer Graphics and Visualization. ![]() Received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Madras,India. He received his master's degree in Computer Science from University of Texas,Dallas. He is currently a dotoral candidate in the school of computer science at University of Central Florida,Orlando. He is currently focussed on developing real-time 3D lung dynamics for clincial visualization using an Augmented Reality Environment. He aims at developing the 3D lung model that breathes according to a patient's physical condition. Such a framework can allow life-threatening patient conditions such as tension pneumothorax to be simulated and visualized. His work also allows the coupling of such 3D deforming lung models with many clinical treatment maneuvers. The research work would ultimately allow developing effective and cheaper medical systems that can be used for any patient for a better tomorrow. Anand has received the best oral presentation award from the Graduate Research Forum at UCF. He has also received the Link Fellowship for the year 2005-06. Teeranoot Chanthasopeephan ![]() Teeranoot Chanthasopeephan is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics at Drexel University. She is a member of the Program for Robotics, Intelligent Sensing, and Mechatronics (PRISM) Laboratory. She completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and a master degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in 2001, all in Mechanical Engineering. Her research interests include medical robotics and reality-based modeling of soft tissue interaction for surgical simulation. |
