Nuthatch Hollow Bird Sanctuary
Nuthatch Hollow is a beautiful area of roughly 75 acres of woodland, stream, scrub land and grassland. The variety of habitat allows a great diversity of wildlife to utilize the area. It is a bird sanctuary previously owned by Robert Schumann and now the site of a proposed Living Building. Nuthatch Hollow is about three quarters of a mile up Bunn Hill Road from Route 434 (Vestal Parkway). The site was gifted to Binghamton University's Environmental Studies Program and will be used for research and education. Access is by permission only while the facilities are updated/repaired and plans are formed.
Moratorium
There is a moratorium on the general use of the facilities of Nuthatch until further notice.
