An audit is an opportunity to receive an unbiased evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of the administrative activities of a particular unit within the University. An audit can help in addressing any concern you may have regarding the operations within a particular division. It can tell you if the procedures in place are adequate and functioning as they should be.
An appropriate time to request an audit is when you have recently assumed new or additional managerial responsibilities. In this situation, you may depend on an audit to discover the potential strengths and weaknesses of current operations. In addition, if you have concerns about any problems within your department, a review could help address those issues.
Requests for audits should be submitted to the Campus Auditor. These requests should be in writing. All requests will remain confidential and will be considered based on their urgency and the availability of staff and time.
