Parents Leadership Council Mission Statement

Binghamton University’s Parents Leadership Council (PLC) offers parents an opportunity to enrich the Binghamton student experience by serving as a link between the University and parents of undergraduate students. The council aims to broaden and deepen the University's relationship with parents so they are lasting and mutually beneficial. The PLC complements and supports the University's strategic directives and initiatives. Committee members are advancement advocates for the Division of Student Affairs through private support and outreach. This is an advisory council whose mission is to enhance student opportunities.

I enthusiastically support the mission statement, and commit to actively contribute to the following fundamental pillars, in a way that is personally meaningful to me, for the 2024–25 academic year:
  • Supporting student success
  • Creating events and special initiatives to increase parent communication and engagement
  • Fundraising and outreach
I agree to donate a minimum gift of $1,000 toward the Binghamton Fund for Student Life (BFSL) by April 1, 2025.*
