Background

Maja “Maia” Szostak joined the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in January 2023 as the director of admissions.

Szostak received a Bachelor of Social Work from Niagara University and a Master of Student Affairs from Binghamton University. Prior to joining the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Szostak worked as a director of admissions at SUNY Broome Community College, leading the department in its recruitment efforts. She has seven years of experience in enrollment management, community partnerships and higher-education trends.

Personally, Szostak grew up in Poland and moved to the United States at age 14. She is a first-generation student and in her free time enjoys hiking with her two golden retrievers, reading, playing video games and exploring local foodie spots.
