Student ambassadors
Student ambassadors at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences are representatives of the school who lead tours, attend open houses and represent the school at events. Most importantly, they make prospective students feel comfortable by answering questions.
This year's student ambassadors are:
Gianna, student ambassador
Hometown: Lake Grove, N.Y.
Year: P4
Gianna is one of our returning student ambassadors. Gianna is a member of the Oncology Pharmacy Student Organization (OPSO) and Binghamton University’s Club Field Hockey Team.
Heeral, student ambassador
Hometown: Gujarat, India
Year: P3
Heeral is one of our returning student ambassadors, and is the current Student Dean. She is also the President of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the Director of National Engagement for Industry Pharmacist Organization (IPhO) and the Vice President of Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS). She is also the Class of 2026 President and a SOPPS peer tutor. She is an Indian classical dance "Kathak" dancer.
Karissa, student ambassador
Hometown: Albany, N.Y.
Year: P3
Karissa is one of our returning student ambassadors. She is the Diabetes Co-Chair for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA). She is also a dental hygienist and a mom to her two children.
Kavisha, student ambassador
Hometown: Gujarat, India
Year: P3
Kavisha is one of our returning student ambassadors, and is a Class of 2026 Representative in SOPPS Student Government. She is also the Treasurer for United Multicultural Pharmacists Association (UMPA) and the Vice President for Women in Healthcare (WIH). She is also one of the peer tutors at SOPPS.
Emily, student ambassador
Hometown: Jordan, N.Y.
Year: P2
Emily is the Class of 2027 President and the Treasurer for SOPPS Student Government. She is also actively involved in Scouting America. This is her first year as a student ambassador.
Heer, student ambassador
Hometown: Gujarat, India
Year: P2
Heer is the Event Coordinator for Oncology Pharmacy Student Organization (OPSO) and the Social Media Chair for Women in Healthcare (WIH). She is also involved in The Rural and Underserved Service Track (TRUST). This is her first year as a student ambassador.
Sajni, student ambassador
Hometown: New Hyde Park, N.Y.
Year: P2
Sajni is the Class of 2027 Vice President, the President-Elect for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) and the President-Elect for the Student Pharmacist Society of the State of New York (SPSSNY). She is also the Secretary for United Multicultural Pharmacists Association (UMPA). She is a SOPPS peer tutor and works at CVS and UHS as a Pharmacy Intern. This is her first year as a student ambassador.
