These activities focus on the following program goals:
Community Building and Wellness

Create a network of social, academic, and professional relationships that encourage
a free and open exchange of ideas between students and faculty, staff, administrators,
and alumni. Promote wellness through programming, mentoring, advising, and individualized
attention and support for students in the community.
Diversity and Cultural Awareness
Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the different identities, backgrounds,
and perspectives of members of the global and local communities. Recognize diversity
as an advantage to learning, scholarship, community, and citizenship. Stimulate a
curiosity and appreciation for diversity through academic and extracurricular activities
in order to increase cultural competency.
Intellectual Curiosity and Interdisciplinary Thinking
Develop the skills and perspectives necessary to address nuanced issues with complex
problem solving. Understand the interconnectedness of academic disciplines. Explore
multiple academic interests and apply knowledge and skills in innovative and unexpected
ways.
