The students of Binghamton University are champions of innovation. No matter their background or chosen major, the ability to make an entrepreneurial impact is inherent in them all. 

The E&IP office exists in part to foster student passion by providing strategic resources and opportunities.

SPACE and programming

The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships,along with the Koffman Southern Tier Incuabtor have all the tools and support necessary for students who are progressing a startup, or who are interested in entrepreneurship. We are proud to support students along each step of their entrepreneurial journey, and to assist them in growing and developing their ventures. The Koffman offers three floors of coworking space and meeting rooms for students to utilize free of charge, as well as access to our network of mentors and entrepreneurial focused programming. 

STUDENT CLUB

The Entrepreneur Connect club was founded for student entrepreneurs by student entrepreneurs. The club’s goal is to bring together the most innovative and creative minds across Binghamton University, providing an environment to foster meaningful connections, build pivotal skills and start innovative businesses. 

CONNECTIONS

A network of mentors and community connections both within and outside the University exist to support passionate students in need of direction. 

COURSES

A number of courses are available to students looking to kindle their entrepreneurial prowess. E&IP is working to expand these offerings to best support the thousands of innovative students within the University. 

NENY student start up experience

Interested students have the opportunity to intern directly with startup companies through the NENY Student Startup Experience. Students interested in starting their own business and learning about clean energy, sustainability and entrepreneurship have the opportunity to work directly with a startup to learn firsthand about company formation and growth.

Diversity in Cleantech Startup Experience

Under the same umbrella as the NENY Student Startup Experience, the Diversity in Cleantech Startup Experience priorotizes students who are historically underrepresented in STEM in the application process! Apply to this program here.

EXCEED Internship Program

The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships offers credit-bearing internships with local startup companies in Broome County. Registering through the CDCI department, these internships are semester long, and the time commitment depends upon the amount of credits you have available. Inclusive Innovation Internship (I3)

I3 offers paid R&D internships with labs across campus developing innovative technologies. These internships are semester-long and require a 10h/wk commitment. Gain research experience and entrepreneurship exposure through work on a STEM translational research project in a faculty laboratory or startup. You will additionally have exposure to technology transfer, academic innovation, and entrepreneurship. I3 is focused on increasing the participation of underrepresented undergraduate students in STEM-related research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Fill out this interest form for I3 any time.
