Continuing Education

Professional development for practitioners

Our mission is to prepare social workers for autonomous, knowledge-based, advanced generalist practice within an integrated community of scholars, practitioners and learners.

The department offers continuing education programs to help licensed social workers remain connected with the values of the profession; in learning new theories, concepts, practices and skills; and in networking opportunities within the field.

For more information on the continuing education requirements for licensed social workers in New York state, visit the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of the Professions website.
