Background
Rajita Varma completed her doctoral degree in marketing at the Indian School of Business in 2024. Prior to pursuing her PhD, she earned an MSc in International Marketing from King’s College London, a Master’s in Economics from the University of Hyderabad, India and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, India. She has also worked as an analyst at HSBC.
Rajita’s research primarily focuses on individuals who drive marketing. Her research examines how the composition of marketing top/middle management teams influences marketing outcomes and firm performance. She combines causal inference and marketing analytic techniques with simulation-based experiments in her research.
Her research spans topics in gender, human capital, political orientation, and marketing-finance interface.
