Year-round testing at approved Pearson VUE testing centers provides increased opportunities to test and flexibility when scheduling. Visit the NCEES website for more information.
Registration
You register and schedule your appointment through your My NCEES account on the NCEES website. You will first select your exam location, and then you will be presented with a list of available exam dates for your appointment. If you are not happy with the choices, you can browse through the available dates at another NCEES-approved testing center.
Where will I take my exam?
NCEES has partnered with Pearson VUE to provide computer-based delivery of the FE and FS exams. These exams are available through Pearson's network of professional centers and select locations. You can find more information about the exam scheduling process in the NCEES Examinee Guide.

FE Reference Handbook
The all-new FE Reference Handbook is now available for purchase or free download. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the new version prior to taking the exam.
7 Freestanding discipline-specific exams
The content of the exam is changing significantly. Instead of a common morning portion and a discipline-specific afternoon portion, examinees will now take one of seven individual exams that include content from only the areas that are common to that discipline's curriculum. For example, all examinees will be tested on mathematics, but electrical engineering students will be excited to learn that they will no longer be tested on dynamics. Each exam will consist of 110 questions, and students will have a total of 5 hours and 20 minutes to complete them. The 7 FE exams available are:

- Electrical & Computer
- Environmental
- Industrial
- Mechanical
- Other Disciplines
NCEES Examinee Guide
A comprehensive guide is available for download on the NCEES website. During the registration process, all examinees will be required to attest that they have read it and agree to comply with the rules and policies set forth in it.
The guide includes detailed information on how to register and schedule an exam, how and when examinees will receive their results (hint—it's much faster!), what they are allowed to take into the test center, copies of the NCEES CBT Exam Rules and Nondisclosure Agreement, and much more. Encourage your students to read the guide and familiarize themselves with it prior to registering for the exam.
Certification by Watson College
All students whose degrees are conferred beginning Spring 2014 will be automatically certified by Watson College. These students will not be required to do anything. For those students who require certification (Form 2) and have graduated prior to Spring 2014, please contact us.
