The Orientation program for all new students at Binghamton University is your chance to learn firsthand about the many opportunities available to you at the University. We want to help you feel comfortable with your new surroundings. Orientation allows you to interact with faculty, staff and students and ask questions about the academic offerings, student services or simply what it's like to be a student at Binghamton University. This program is also the time to register for your classes for the upcoming semester. We will acquaint you with residential settings, classrooms and recreational facilities.

Learn about the University community and get a jump on the semester through the following:
  • Register for courses
  • Academic and pre-professional advising with faculty, staff and students
  • Information on residential life, off-campus living, commuting, food service, financial aid and other services
  • Small-group meetings with Orientation Advisors
  • Social events to meet other students
  • Chance to learn more about different departments on campus
  • Chance to become more familiar with the physical layout of campus
