April 9 - Summer 2021 courses in Brightspace

Instructors may choose to use Brightspace for their 2021 summer session courses by completing the Brightspace Summer 2021 form. The deadline to make this request is noon Friday, May 7. If this form is not completed, your course will be available in myCourses (Blackboard.)

March 10 - Start training on new Learning Management System: Brightspace

Binghamton University’s new learning management system (LMS), Brightspace, is now available to faculty who want to learn about its features. Faculty will be notified when courses are loaded into Brightspace sometime in April. Until then, visit the link below to learn how to use the flexible, cloud-based, mobile-optimized LMS that is designed for collaboration for a better learning experience.

The campus will use Brightspace for all courses and organizations starting with the fall 2021 semester. Instructors may choose to use Brightspace for their 2021 summer session courses by completing the Brightspace Summer 2021 form.

Brightspace training will be available through various modes. Visit Brightspace Training to learn about training opportunities.

March 1, 2021 - New campus learning management system, Brightspace, to replace myCourses for fall 2021

Binghamton University is transitioning to a new learning management system (LMS) called Brightspace, that offers greater flexibility to faculty and students, and is cloud-based, mobile optimized and designed for collaboration for a better learning experience. The campus will use Brightspace for all courses and organizations starting with the fall 2021 semester. Instructors may choose to use Brightspace for their 2021 summer session courses by completing the Brightspace Summer 2021 form.

February 11, 2021 - Brightspace Access

Access to the new Learning Management System, Brightspace, will start March 10, 2021. After March 10, 2021, to log in to Brightspace go to my.binghamton.edu, click on Courses, and select Brightspace.
