The world of higher education is competitive and ever-changing. Expectations for student success are high and at Binghamton University, we understand that, to succeed, students must be nurtured and encouraged not just intellectually, but also physically, emotionally and socially.
Our strategic plan, the Road Map to Premier, embraces our commitment to provide a transformative learning community to students that prepares them for success, whether it be in furthering their education, pursuing careers or living purposefully.
Our Healthy Campus Initiative, which originated in 2012 from one of our Road Map strategic planning teams, encompasses the many ways we support students, faculty and staff in making healthy choices.
We continually strive to create an environment that supports health and wellbeing, enabling all of our students — and our faculty and staff — to thrive and attain lifelong success. Our intent is that opting to live a healthy life becomes the gold standard at Binghamton. Infusing well-being into our cross-campus collaborations, partnerships and daily decisions is essential to our success.
I support the Healthy Campus Initiative and strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of our recreational facilities, the many healthy food choices in our dining facilities, the educational programs put on by our peer educators and others, our health and wellness minor and the broad array of resources we have on campus to enhance well-being.
Remember: Choose well, be well.
Sincerely,
Harvey Stenger
President
