• Support UACS Point Persons
• Serve as UACS Information Resource
• Help engage on-campus UACS partners by supporting conversations with a wide  range of schools, departments, and centers
• Help engage K12 partners with NYSED CS Technical Assistance Centers and partnerships with AFT/NYSUT
• Facilitate UACS Site Visits
• Connect with Penn’s Netter Center
• Assist with Grant Applications

Your Campus and Community

The campus point person will be supported to implement the following activities:

• Meeting with Deans, Department Chairs, and Administrators to identify faculty and staff who want to learn more about UACS
• Share Point Person contact information with SUNY to connect your campus team to:

      • SUNY UACS Brown Bag information sessions
      • SUNY UACS updates
• Help connect faculty and staff interested in developing UACS activities to support partners
• Work with NYSED TACs to Meet Prospective UACS Partners
• Engage in periodic conversations with UACS Point Persons from other SUNY campuses

Sponsored in collaboration with SUNY System Administration, Binghamton University is excited to be hosting the SUNY convening on university-assisted community schools on June 24, 2024.

We invite you to learn, network, and strategize to create the nation’s first public university system of University-Assisted Community Schools.

University-Assisted Community Schools bring schools, families, community members and university partners together to improve the quality of life and learning in schools and communities.

• Learn how to start University-Assisted Community Schools in your institution
• Explore how this strategy advances research, teaching and learning in schools and universities
• Launch the SUNY Learning Network on University-Assisted Community Schools
