University Assisted Community Schools

Binghamton University served as the fifth national University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) Regional Training Center through the Netter Center from October 2020 to September 2023. The Netter Center supports University-Assisted Community Schools Regional Training Centers on three-year funding cycles.

UACS Toolkit

The University-Assisted Community School approach supports institutions of higher education, school districts, and community leaders in developing successful partnerships to help youth, families, and communities thrive. This toolkit provides information and examples about how to mobilize the vast resources of universities and colleges.

Launched in 2015, UACS National Network is comprised of higher education partners that support university-assisted community schools. The UACS National Network is organized by the Netter Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania, in collaboration with the Coalition for Community Schools and Rutgers University-Camden.
