New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) offers grants and scholarships for residents attending college in New York state who meet certain eligibility and income requirements. To apply for New York state aid, visit the HESC website.
It is important that recipients of NYS aid familiarize themselves with degree applicable credit requirements.
Timeline for posting of NYS aid:
New York State grants and scholarships are posted to student financial aid packages on Fridays, when HESC notifies us of new awards, beginning mid-June.
If you are waiting on a refund from the TAP Grant/SUNY Tuition Credit or World Trade Center Scholarship, certification will begin in late-September. Awards will pay and refunds will be issued within the first two weeks of October.
