Institute for Child Development

50 Year

The Institute for Child Development (ICD) provides an array of exemplary programs, resources, outreach and training to Binghamton University and the greater community related to Autism.

We firmly believe that we are a reflection of our community and honor the diversity of the children and adolescents, and their families, who receive our services as well as the unique contributions of our many staff, trainees, and volunteers over the years. If you have ever been a part of ICD or walked beside us as we grew, we would love to hear from you! Follow the link below to share your story with us to help us build a unique history of ICD to share during this year's celebrations!

Our Mission: To improve quality of life for autistic and neurodivergent individuals, their families, and communities through excellence in the provision of high-quality, person-centered, evidence-based and innovative practice, education and research.

We invite you to learn more about ICD and its many programs. For half a century, our focus continues to be one that is responsive to community needs, innovative and collaborative in our approach to solutions, and valuing community-informed practice and research.
