Registration for International Student Orientation is now available!
All new international students are required to participate in International Student Orientation, even if you have previously attended another university in the United States.
In order to be able to register, you must have paid your admission deposit and activated your Binghamton University Computer Account.
The Spring 2025 International Student Orientation takes place in person on Thursday, January 16 and will include a combination of pre-recorded videos and programs.
The pre-arrival orientation videos will cover a variety of important topics for new students including health insurance, immigration regulations and more. You can watch the pre-arrival orientation videos on Brightspace - Scroll down the page to the “My Courses” section and click on the “Binghamton University International Orientation” link. These videos will be available to watch in December and should be watched before the in-person programming on Thursday, January 16.
The interactive in-person components will allow new international students to engage with one another, make connections, and get to know more about the Binghamton University community in an informal social environment.
Required: English language skills assessment
All new international undergraduate students are required to have their English language skills assessed, regardless of where they have studied
previously.

You must arrive in Binghamton on Tuesday, January 14 in order to take the English Language Skills Assessment. If you are unable to take the exam on January 15, contact eli@binghamton.edu for make-up instructions. Note: Students who take the make-up exam may face delays in registering for classes.
All pre-arrival emails will be posted on our webpage for future reference. Emails will only be posted once they have been distributed to incoming students.
