Welcome to the 6th edition of the Link Foundation Newsletter!
Through this newsletter, we seek to provide increased visibility for the Foundation's programs, our Fellows (both past and present) and their activities. It is also anticipated that the newsletter, and abstracts of prior Fellowship winners in particular, will be useful for Fellowship applicants by providing tangible examples of work that the Foundation has supported.
We hope that you will enjoy our feature article highlighting the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Summer Internship Program at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution at Florida Atlantic University, which took place on July 29, 2009.
In this issue, we proudly present the recipients of the Link Foundation Fellowships awarded in 2008-09. We, of course, have a section where we list our 2008-09 Link Foundation appeal donors so we can officially “thank” them for helping the Link Foundation continue its practices of providing fellowships and awards to worthy institutions. We would very much welcome any news updates on any of our past Fellows. We would love to hear from you! If we have any “newsworthy” information throughout the year, we will add news updates to this site as appropriate.
