Mission
The mission of the Veterans’ and Military Services Office is to:
- Commit to recruiting, retaining, and supporting active duty service members, veterans, and dependents to maintain a diverse and highly qualified student body, faculty, and staff
- Assist students in receiving entitled veterans educational benefits and in achieving educational goals
- Assist students in making the transition from military to academic life
- Expand military-friendly services and programs for America's returning military members
The Veterans’ and Military Services Office (VMS) is available to help veterans and their dependents maximize their college funding at Binghamton University. Students who currently receive veterans’ educational benefits at our institution includes National Guard, Reservist, Active Duty, Veterans and children or spouses of those who have or are currently serving in the military.

Binghamton University has served student veterans since 1946 and is a leader in service to our students who are veterans, active duty, military dependents and survivors.
