Inter-Fraternity Council

About

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body for all social fraternities on Binghamton’s campus. We are the binding organization that ties together all of the recognized social fraternity chapters. Our member fraternities exist to promote the shared values of leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship. The shared values of fraternity help to drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters, and better men. We work to advance the academic mission of Binghamton University, to enable fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership.

Recruitment into IFC chapters is available at the beginning of every semester to every undergraduate male seeking to enhance their time at Binghamton by being a part of an organization that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Greek members graduate with incomparable experiences of the brotherhood, leadership opportunities, and social life that are inherent in every chapter, regardless of the letters.
