anonymous-tips

DO NOT USE THIS FORM TO REPORT CRIMES THAT REQUIRE IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE, TO FILE A REPORT OR TO INQUIRE ABOUT LOST OR STOLEN PROPERTY. If this is a true emergency or a crime is in progress, call 911, or from a cell phone call 607-777-2222.

For routine police assistance and to file a police report, call New York State University Police dispatch at 607-777-2393.

USE THIS FORM if you want to pass on information (not a crime in progress). Web-based anonymous reporting and email reporting are good ways to provide us with tips, but not an appropriate way to request police assistance when you need it.

Report a crime

If you have seen a crime on campus and wish to report it to us anonymously, complete the following form. Your identity does not need to be revealed and New York State University Police will investigate all submissions.

This is an anonymous report and is intended to provide tips and leads for the police. Our ability to fully investigate criminal incidents based solely on anonymous reporting may be limited due to legal restrictions, and your anonymity, since we cannot re-contact you for additional information. If you wish to be contacted for additional information, provide your contact information so that we may follow up on your report. Your contact information will always be kept confidential unless you choose to become actively involved in an investigation and agree to the use of your name.
