Each year at the EOP Senior Brunch and Recognition Award Ceremony, students are honored and recognized for their contribution to the University community, the EOP mission and its students. Recipients of these awards are identified and selected by a committee of staff, and invited to attend this event to receive their awards.
Certificates of Merit
A certificate presented to all EOP students of the graduating class in recognition of academic achievement.
Faculty/Staff Recognition Awards
Awarded to University faculty and staff for outstanding support of the EOP mission and its students.
Graduation with Honors
Undergraduate students with outstanding academic records are awarded honors of Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude and Cum Laude. The appropriate graduations honors are indicated on the diploma and final transcript.
Michael V. Boyd Excellence Award
Awarded to individuals, groups or organizations for significant contributions to the Educational Opportunity Program, and outstanding advocacy for the program's students. This award is in honor of Michael V. Boyd who passed away in 1994.
Outstanding Achievement Awards
A statewide recognition given by the SUNY Chancellor's Office of Opportunity Programs (Albany) to the EOP students who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher.
Green Ribbon of Service Award
A green ribbon and an award certificate presented to EOP students who have made significant contributions towards the improvement of the quality of life for students at Binghamton University
