Accelerating Research for Impact
With support from a prestigious $6M NSF Accelerating Research Translation (ART) award, Binghamton University was one of 18 academic institutions nationwide
to receive support to increase the broader societal impact of academic research. To
such ends, Binghamton is launching their Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Discovery (EXCEED) program to help advance innovative research activities and entrepreneurship
ecosystem with research funding, personnel support, and entrepreneurship training.
Additionally, these efforts are supported by our mentor Columbia Tech Ventures and our partner The SUNY Research Foundation. Through this initiative, Binghamton University is poised to accelerate the pace
and scale of research translation, contribute to regional innovation ecosystems, and
train the next generation of entrepreneurial faculty and students.
