Arts In Education Performance

The department of Theatre hosts an audience of students from local area middle and high schools at a scheduled matinée performance of the chosen show. The Department of Theatre works with BOCES, teachers and parents to coordinate schools visiting the Binghamton University Campus. Performances begin at 10 a.m. to accommodate K-12 school hours and travel arrangements.

Come with questions! Following the performance, the director, cast and production staff members are available for a talk back with the audience. You may also request to have the director and a cast member or two come to your school!

Interested in participating?

Email the department's coordinator: Kari Bayait, or call at (607) 777-7323.

Depending on your available time, other activities such as campus tours or visiting the University Art Museum can be arranged as well to make the most out of your visit!

What about Lunch?

Most schools will bring bagged lunches to either eat on the bus or outdoors on campus. If you have a special request about your group eating lunch on campus, be sure to mention this when you reserve your tickets. You can also conveniently have pizza delivered to the buses upon your departure! Nirchi's on the Vestal Parkway is very close.
